So I guess we were linked on the sidebar of Game Informer. Thanks guys!Since we'll have a few more visitors due to that and DoD has a large amount of songs to go through, Paragon and I have made a page with some of our favorite tracks through the years. This might help newbies to the site/scene or people who prefer OCR-type sites that tell you what to listen to (JUST KIDDING DJP!).In any case, welcome to the site to anyone linked here from GI. May 27th: The songs for this month are up. Because I am moving, the results will most likely be delayed until approximately 1:00 PM Eastern US time on June 1st. May 16th: We've been mentioned on Sonic Stadium, a blog dedicated to everybody's favorite blue hedgehog. Thanks, blitzchris, and welcome to any new listeners! And for some news I should have mentioned awhile ago -- the OCR project Summoning of Spirits has been released, featuring songs from several talented DoD artists (and one from me, too :P ). Check it out! January 25th: Welcome to any new visitors from RPI. Thanks to djp, Larry, and zircon for mentioning us at their Genericon panel! December 30th: Only a couple of days until MAGfest! See the full schedule here. December 22nd: The radio show, 8bit Extravaganza, will be playing DoD music! It broadcasts over 88.3 FM/ 1670 AM on Kutztown University Radio (KUR) on Thursdays @11pm, and episodes are offered for download on the station's website afterwards. Also, there are fewer than two weeks until MAGfest! There will be a live Dwelling of Duels listening party (bring your DS for pictochat antics), several video game rock band concerts, gaming touraments/challenges, panels, and other assorted awesome things. You might even get to meet Crimson! (Look for the guy wearing the bandana.) November 28th: Overclocked ReMix has released the soundtrack to Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD, which was made by various OC ReMixers (including Sixto Sounds, who entered DoD recently)! Give it a listen. November 23rd: The listening party for this month will be on Friday, not Thursday. Happy Thanksgiving, Americans! (Happy Thursday, everybody else.) September 30th: thecreeper's Original Music Competition has been back up and running for a few months now, so it's about time I linked to it! Visit it here. Includes songs from DoD stars such as Ryan8Bit, Kadmium, XMark, ansgaros, and more!August 27th: The owner of Spiked Tea Radio would prefer explicit permissions from the artists. Any DoD artist who doesn't mind his or her songs being played on an internet radio station, please send me an e-mail to let me know (include your artist name, of course).July 8th: Dwelling of Duels on the radio? It's true! Spiked Tea Radio and KBYO FoxFM 92.7 (Monroe, LA) will be playing Dwelling of Duels songs. Spiked Tea Radio is a rock station, and FoxFM 92.7 is a talk station that will feature a show about gaming culture called "Meteor: The XGamers Radio Show". If any DoD artists don't want their songs played on these shows, let me know and I'll pass it along--but I don't see why anyone would have a problem!June 26th: To better accomodate people on the US west coast, the deadline and listening party times are being switched to 9:30 PM Eastern time (6:30 PM Pacific time).April 26th: Due to Circumstances, the deadline and the listening party are both being pushed back to 11 PM.April 1st: Results of Sci-fi month are up! And just a note, my schedule is changing, so in order to prevent a huge delay between the deadline for submission and the posting of songs, the deadline and listening party times have been moved back to 7 PM eastern time.March 7th: Since this month's theme is attracting a lot of interest towards movie games like Star Wars, there's a new rule: if the song wasn't originally written for a game, it can only be an alternate entry. - Paragon |
